Here’s a bit about my background and how spiritual wedgies came to be…

Along the path to studying and practicing the healing arts, I became quite adept at working with computers. Learning new software programs came easily to me. I enjoyed working with databases, creating forms, word processing, and troubleshooting problems. I also became an avid internet surfer and researcher using various search engines. I am a google-girl at heart. My computer skills helped me gain entry into various industries over the years – the most recent being film. I adore film and especially love working behind the scenes in production. Although I love working with computers and being part of a production team on a film, the healing arts has always been the consistent thread running through the fabric of my career.

During a brief career as a computer security person, I felt a shift coming. Wanderlust and a sense of adventure took hold and I traveled for nearly 6 years. Part of my quest was to explore my heritage, but I was also drawn to exploring healing techniques of other cultures. I traveled to Peru and Ecuador on Shamanic expeditions and participated in healing ceremonies. I also spent a great deal of time in UK, taking part in pilgrimages around England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. It was during this time that my sensitivity to energy and specifically Earth frequencies became heightened. I developed the ability to physically feel ley lines as well as dowse them.

As my awareness and sensitivity increased, I became aware of energetic changes occurring on the planet. I began connecting with others who could also feel these changes, many of whom were writing about this on the Internet. (References are below.) The shift we felt became known as the ascension process. As Lauren Gorgo (see www.thinkwithyourheart.net) defines it, ‘Ascension is really just some fancy word (unfortunately with religious connotations) to describe the….climb in consciousness required to achieve and integrate our full human potential ... and this means on EVERY level...physical, emotional, mental AND spiritual.’ To be clear, ascension is not an upward movement, it is inward.

So, we’re slowly shifting from a 3 dimensional reality that’s pretty dense and lower in frequency. It's the one we're all used to where we experience  heavy emotions such as fear, anger, guilt, blame, and judgment, and struggle and live in a world of limitations and lack. In the ascension process, we raise our frequency by clearing our emotional blocks, fears, and heavier emotions and transmuting them into compassion and love. As we clear and heal, we become less dense energetically. We begin to experience more joy, appreciation, gratitude, and a sense of community or Unity consciousness. As these changes occur, we experience a new reality in our external world and begin attracting people and things into our lives that resonate in harmony with our frequency. Think of it as suddenly becoming part of a great orchestra or band playing your favorite music….feeling a sense of joy and connectedness.

As I felt this shift occurring and began to experience intense physical and emotional symptoms, I found other healers with unique techniques to help me in my process. One technique, Vortex Therapy, helped me to experience profound levels of healing and assisted me in releasing blocks and unhealthy attachments. I began using that in my practice with clients. Eventually I discovered I was able to simply connect in with guides and angels on a multi-dimensional level and read the energy.

Because humor has always been an essential part of my life and healing practice, my friends began calling the stuck or blocked energy wedgies. As I was helping friends and clients release the wedgies on the energetic or spiritual levels, the stuck energy became known as spiritual wedgies.
